No answers on King’s future

PASADENA, Calif. - There was nothing definitive from Desmond King in regard to the NFL draft on Friday night.
There were a few NFL draft Twitter accounts posting that the Iowa junior has decided to skip his senior season and enter April's draft.
As far as King himself? The Thorpe Award winner and Big Ten defensive back of the year didn't answer questions from media about his future. An Iowa spokesman made it clear he wouldn't and said the interview would end if he was asked.
King, who led the Big Ten with eight interceptions, did do an interview on the Iowa postgame radio show and was asked about his plans.
He said he wanted to talk to his mom, Yvette Powell, and Iowa coaches. He said his mom wants him to finish his degree at Iowa (he would be the first member of his mom's side of the family with a college degree) and that he would make his decision soon.
During the week, King seemed to waver.
'It's kind of 50/50 right now,” King said. 'I'm thinking about staying. There's a good chance, but right now, I honestly don't know what my decision will be. It goes back and forth every time.
Iowa defensive coordinator Phil Parker recruited King to Iowa. During the week, he hadn't talked with King much about his decision. He just wanted him to make the right one.
'I think it's everybody has their own life,” Parker said. 'I can give him my opinion if that's what he wants. I've talked to him a couple different times on a couple different occasions like, ‘hey, this is what I know.' I think he has to make the right decision for himself.”
