Neal records winning weekend

Terry Neal has notched plenty of victories on Iowa's dirt tracks, and last weekend couldn't have gone much better for the racing veteran.

Neal, of Ely, claimed feature victories at race tracks in Maquoketa and Dubuque on consecutive nights, racing to victory at Jackson County Speedway on Saturday and Dubuque Speedway on Sunday.

At Jackson County, Neal won the late model feature after grabbing the lead after a restart on lap 6. Neal pulled away from the field, finishing ahead of Ray Guss Jr. and Joe Zrostlik, who he beat to win the earlier heat race. It was his fourth feature win at the race track.

Neal capped his perfect weekend by winning a IMCA late model heat and feature the following night. The win was similar to the win in Maquoketa, capturing the lead with 20 laps remaining and never looking back. Jim Brokus and Joel Callahan rounded out the top three.

Neal has seven victories this season.
