MVC Super Meet is Thursday at Noelridge

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Josh Evans will try to stay unbeaten against Iowa competition at the Mississippi Valley Conference "Super" cross country meet Thursday at Noelridge Park.
A sophomore at Linn-Mar High School, Evans is ranked No. 1 among Class 4A boys.
The boys' team race should be a tight one among Cedar Falls, Linn-Mar, Iowa City West and Cedar Rapids Washington. Linn-Mar and Iowa City High are the girls' favorites.
Robert Hogg and Etienne Nzoyisaba of Washington headline the list of challengers for Evans. Linn-Mar's Carolyn Newhouse, City High's Meg Richardson and West's Molly Leveille figure to contend in the girls' race
The varsity girls' race is scheduled to start at 5:10 p.m., with the boys taking the line at 5:35.
