MVC all-conference wrestling teams announced

The Mississippi Valley Conference has released its all-conference and MVC all-academic selections for the 2010-11 season. Take a look at the first and second teams and those you earned honorable mention honors from both the Mississippi and Valley Divisions. Coaching staffs were also honored for each division.The accolades also recognize those who have succeeded on the mat and in the classroom.Top-ranked Iowa City West had 10 of the 14 all-conference picks in the Valley Division, but C.R. Jefferson coach Dick Briggs and his staff was selected Coach of the Year. Briggs recorded his 200th career dual win earlier this year. Zach Witte was the lone first-team choice for C.R. Prairie, who did have seven on the conference second team.Linn-Mar led the Mississippi with five first-team selections. Linn-Mar's Doug Streicher and staff were voted Coach of the Year after winning the division. C.R. Kennedy had three first-teamers, including conference champions Luke Kremer (135) and Ryan Sheldon (171).
