Morelock among Hall of Fame class

FORT DODGE -- Former Solon High School slugger Quinn Morelock is among the four former players who will be inducted into the Iowa Girls High School Hall of Fame on Friday.
The ceremony will take place following the Class 4A championship, around 3 p.m.
Morelock was part of the Lady Spartans' state-championship team of 2003. She also played on a third-place team in 2004 and a runner-up squad in 2005. She finished her career with 45 home runs.
Also honored will be Ashley Rogers (Dubuque Wahlert, 2004), Katie Brown (Spirit Lake, 2006) and Laurie Bowden (Southeast Polk, 1989).
Eight 100-game winners, including Catie Flaucher of Independence, were honored Thursday.
