The Big Ten Network released kickoff times for the first three weeks of the season on Monday afternoon. It included no times for Iowa games. So, yes, Iowa's opener against Miami (Ohio) and week 3 with North Dakota State are headed for ESPN broadcasts.
On its website Monday, Miami released a time for its game in Iowa City. Iowa will open the season with the Mid-American Conference school at 2:30 at Kinnick Stadium on Sept. 3. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
Later Monday, the Big Ten announced that Iowa's kickoff against North Dakota State on Sept. 17 will be 11 a.m. and broadcast on ESPN or ESPN2. The Bison are the five-time defending national FCS champions.
That Sept. 17 weekend is a monster slate for the Big Ten Conference: Nebraska plays host to Oregon; Michigan State travels to Notre Dame and Ohio State travels to Oklahoma.
Also, the Big Ten announced that B1G conference game times for Sept. 24 will be determined 'at the earliest” on Sept. 12 (a Monday). Iowa will be at Rutgers that weekend for its first matchup against the Scarlett Knights.
