Miami receiver Ivan Thomas announced his commitment to Iowa on Twitter Thursday night, then deleted the tweet an hour later.
Hawkeye Report's Blair Sanderson and Hawkeye Nation's Rob Howe reported that Iowa wants Thomas to visit the school, which he plans to do this summer, before committing.

Thomas, a 247Sports composite 3-star recruit out of Palmetto High School, also has offers from Kentucky, Indiana, Syracuse, Bowling Green and Temple.
Thomas is listed at 6-4, 200 pounds and caught 34 passes for 542 yards and nine touchdowns last season.
'(Iowa wide receivers coach Kelton Copeland) said that I really fit their offense,' Thomas told Hawkeye Nation earlier this month. 'He said he really wants me and really loves my film. He thinks I can fit because I can play H-Back for them. I can move around. He loves how I attack the ball.'
Iowa has Class of 2018 commitments from Illinois offensive lineman Jeff Jenkins, Wisconsin running back Henry Geil, Indianapolis wide receiver Tyrone Tracy, Iowa City West linebacker Dillon Doyle, Solon defensive tackle Tyler Linderbaum and Illinois athlete Samson Evans, who committed Sunday.
