Megan Gustafson a perfect 13-for-13 in Iowa’s win over Western Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The No. 17-ranked Iowa women's basketball team raced out to a 50-36 halftime lead, then kept it going en route to a 104-67 victory Tuesday night over Western Kentucky (0-3).
Four Hawkeyes (3-0) scored in double figures in the victory. Megan Gustafson led the way with 29 points on a Big Ten record 13-for-13 shooting, followed by Makenzie Meyer (21), Hannah Stewart (14) and Alexis Sevillian (11) .
Gustafson became just the second Hawkeye in program history to surpass 1,000 career rebounds. She also became the sixth Big Ten player to register 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career, joining Illinois' Jenna Smith (2007-10), Minnesota's Laura Coenen (1982-85), Northwestern's Nia Coffey (2014-17), and Ohio State's Jessica Davenport (2004-07) and Jantel Lavender (2008-11).
Sophomore Zion Sanders registered a career-high 9 points on 3-for-3 shooting from 3-point range.
Junior Makenzie Meyer tied her career high in points (21) - knocking down 5-of-10 from 3-point range - and set a new career high with seven rebounds.
Meyer and Sevillian each dished out eight assists.
Iowa hosts North Carolina Central (0-2) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
