Lombardi will keep coaching, teaching jobs at Washington

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Cedar Rapids Washington head football and baseball coach Tony Lombardi will retain his coaching and teaching jobs at the school after the completion of an investigation by the Cedar Rapids Community School District into allegations made against him, it has been learned.
Parents filed formal complaints against Lombardi, accusing him of bullying and verbal abuse against players, students and others at Washington. After a couple of mothers of students at the school went on KCRG-TV9 last week to complain about Lombardi, several of his football players gave the media unsolicited statements of support for him.
