IOWA CITY - Most times, golfers only have to worry about a blind tee shot. On July 15, they took a shot at blindness.
The Iowa City Lions Club put on its annual Swing for Sight golf tournament at Finkbine golf course. Some of the golfers that took part are legally blind.
"A lot of people can get up in the morning, decide to go golfing, hop in the car down to the course to play. When you're blind you have no driving privilege or anything So when you have things like this, it gets you out of the house. You really enjoy life, get to do something everyone else takes for granted," said Eldon Miller, who's legally blind.
All of the proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit organizations that help people suffering from visual and hearing impairments.
