Lisbon's Happel wins Cadet national title

Lisbon's Carter Happel added another title to his resume.Happel captured the 132-pound national title at the USA Wrestling Cadet Freestyle Championships on Friday at Fargo, N.D. Happel scored a 10-0 technical fall over Pennsylvania's Jonathan Ross in the final.Happel recorded 10 wins during the three-day event, posting five technical falls and two pins.Happel was one of six Cadet All-Americans from Iowa. Jake Marnin also won a championship at 285. Jack Wagner (100) was third, Cash Wilcke (182) was fourth and Jacob Woodard (138) and Ethan Andersen (195) both placed seventh.Happel won the Class 1A 120-pound state title for the Lions, going 43-1 as a freshman.
