Linn-Mar and Iowa City West are all-sports girls champions of the Mississippi Valley Conference for the 2010-11 school year.
West ran away with the Valley Division title, scoring 61 points. The Women of Troy captured seven of nine Valley Division titles, winning in cross country, swimming, volleyball, basketball, track, tennis and soccer.
Cedar Rapids Xavier was second with 47 points, followed by Cedar Rapids Jefferson (43), Cedar Falls (39.5), Dubuque Hempstead (37.5), Cedar Rapids Prairie (34.5) and Waterloo East (16).
The Mississippi Division race was much tighter. Linn-Mar edged Dubuque Wahlert, 47-45, for the all-sports crown. The Lions won just one title -- earning a piece of the basketball championship. Linn-Mar was second in cross country, swimming and golf.
Iowa City High was third with 41.5 points, followed by Cedar Rapids Washington (40.5), Cedar Rapids Kennedy (39), Waterloo West (37) and Dubuque Senior (30).
Iowa City West celebrates its victory over Ankeny in the Class 4A state volleyball final in November. The Women of Troy won seven MVC Valley Division girls' titles in the 2010-11 school year and ran away with the all-sports title. (Cliff Jette/Sourcemedia Group News)
