Key dates for spring golf

Spring sports seasons have started. Girls golf in all classes and boys golf in 3A, 2A and 1A have started. Here are some important dates for this season:

March 12: First official day of practice

March 21: First legal date for competition for girls golf

March 26: First legal date for competition for boys golf

April 3: Mississippi Valley Conference competition starts

April 18: CRANDIC Golf Meet at Airport National Golf Course in Cedar Rapids

April 30: MVC Super Meet at Ellis Golf Course in Cedar Rapids

May 7: MVC Divisional meets at Pleasant valley Golf Course in Iowa City and Bunker Hill Golf Course in Dubuque

May 10-11: IHSAA boys' sectional meets for all classes

May 14: IGHSAU girls' district meets for all classes

May 17-18: IHSAA boys' district meets for all classes

May 21: IGHSAU girls' regional meets for all classes

May 25-26: IHSAA boys' state tournaments; 3A at Ames Golf and Country Club; 2A at Spring Valley Golf Course in Livermore; 1A at Panora's Lake Panorama National Resort

May 29-30: IGHSAU girls' state tournaments; 3A and 4A at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny; 1A and 2A at Adel's River Valley Golf Course

June 5: State co-ed meets; Larger schools at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone; Smaller schools at Adel's River Valley Golf Course
