Kellen Sweeney selected by Blue Jays in second round of MLB draft

Cedar Rapids Jefferson senior shortstop Kellen Sweeney was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday.
Sweeney was the 69th overall pick. He is the brother of Oakland A's outfielder Ryan Sweeney, who also was a second-round pick (of the Chicago White Sox) in 2003.
He's the first Iowan to go so far. The second day of the three-day draft began at 11.
