Jarrod Uthoff to compete with Sacramento this summer
Jun. 25, 2016 3:19 pm
IOWA CITY - Iowa forward Jarrod Uthoff will participate with the Sacramento Kings in next month's NBA summer league, his agent Adam Pensack confirmed to The Gazette on Saturday.
Uthoff, who stands nearly 6-foot-10, went undrafted in Thursday's NBA draft. He will play for the Kings and showcase his skills for the remaining NBA teams, Pensack said. Uthoff then hopes to sign an NBA contract afterward. The Kings' summer-league team play in Las Vegas from July 8-18.
A 2011 Cedar Rapids Jefferson graduate, Uthoff averaged 18.9 points, 2.7 blocks and 6.4 rebounds for the Hawkeyes last season. He was a unanimous all-Big Ten selection and earned consensus second- and third-team All-American honors this season.
