ESCO Group & Jane Boyd golf outing supports local kids

Cedar Rapids, IA – Fore!  There are still openings available for the 6

Annual ESCO Group Jane Boyd Golf Classic.  The event will be held on Monday, July 26 at Elmcrest Country Club.

Shotgun times are 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Cost for the morning tee-time is $400/foursome ($100 per golfer) and the afternoon tee-time cost is $500/foursome ($125 per golfer).  Registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, and dinner following the afternoon flight.  There will also be flag events, a skins game and raffles. 

Proceeds from the event will support youth programs at Jane Boyd Community House.  Funds will be used to develop the tutoring program with nationally-recognized Read Naturally software, initiate the G4: Great Grades, Great Golf academic-incentivized golf program and launch Jane Boyd Bank & Trust, a program introducing fiscal management and budgeting curriculum.

“The goal of this year's event is to enhance programming opportunities for the youth we serve. We are not just increasing numbers, we are increasing quality and opportunity,” says Amy Grunewaldt, Executive Director of Jane Boyd.

In addition to sponsoring the Golf Classic, ESCO Group has been an active supporter of Jane Boyd since 2007.   Based in Marion, the ESCO Group has provided automation, electrical, energy and safety services since 1965.

Grunewaldt noted that there are a few sponsorships still available.  She said sponsors will be featured throughout the course on the day of the event.

Rooted in the community for nearly 90 years, Jane Boyd Community House is a non-profit agency that provides support and enrichment programs to local youth and families.
