Dec. 13, 2014 1:37 pm
AMES - Iowa State defensive lineman Devlyn Cousin has been 'suspended indefinitely” from the football team following his arrest for simple domestic assault Friday night.
Cousin is no longer listed on the Story County online inmate roster, but ISU coach Paul Rhoads released a statement through the ISU athletic department regarding Cousin's status with the team.
'We are aware of the charges filed against Devlyn and we take them very seriously,” Rhoads said. 'The allegations brought against Devlyn are not consistent with the expectations of our program. Devlyn is currently suspended indefinitely under the Iowa State student-athlete discipline policy as we gather more information.”
Cousin recorded 12 tackles and a sack in nine games this season for the Cyclones.
