Iowa-UNI to tip at 6:30 p.m.

DES MOINES - Drake will open against Iowa State and Iowa will face Northern Iowa in the nightcap of the third annual Big 4 Classic on Dec. 20 at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Bulldogs-Cyclones game tips off at 4 p.m., while the Iowa-UNI follows around 6:30 p.m. Television information will be announced at a later date.

It's the third season of the Big 4 Classic, which has a four-year contract. Last year the event registered 14,512 fans while the opener announced an attendance of 13,189 in 2012.

Tickets cost from $25 to $70. Every school will distribute the same number of tickets, which are good for both games. Tickets not sold by the schools will be sold through the Wells Fargo Arena box office.

Iowa also finalized its opponents for the men's basketball season on Thursday. The Hawkeyes will open against Hampton on Nov. 14 and then face North Dakota State on Nov. 17 as part of the 2K Classic. Iowa finishes up the 2K Classic with games against Texas and either Syracuse or California in New York City.
