Iowa to open B1G hoops in primetime

IOWA CITY - BTN released times for its 2015-16 Big Ten men's basketball schedule Tuesday, and Iowa's league games will appear 11 times on the network.

The Hawkeyes receive primetime treatment for its Big Ten opener against Michigan State with an 8 p.m. tipoff. That game is part of a doubleheader featuring Purdue at national runner-up Wisconsin, which tips at 6 p.m.

All of Iowa's four weekend Big Ten home games will appear on BTN, and three are afternoon games. The Hawkeyes' Feb. 14 match-up against Minnesota has a 6:30 p.m. tip.

Iowa's other seven Big Ten games will appear on the ESPN family of networks. Times and channels for those games have not been announced.

Additionally, Iowa's Dec. 10 game against Iowa State will start at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
