MANHATTAN, Kan. — Iowa State earned an 84-79 road victory over Kansas State Wednesday night to open Big 12 play.
The Cyclones (9-3, 1-0 Big 12) held off a fourth-quarter rally by the Wildcats (10-2, 0-1 Big 12), who closed to within three with just seconds remaining. However, Bridget Carleton salted the win away at the free-throw line for Iowa State.
Jadda Buckley led Iowa State with 19 points, with five 3-pointers, and a game-high eight assists.
