Iowa-FSU hoops gets late start

IOWA CITY - Iowa will play host to Florida State at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 2 on ESPNU in this year's Big Ten-ACC Challenge.

The teams have met twice with Iowa beating Florida State in the 1988 NCAA tournament, while the Seminoles stopped Iowa 80-67 in the 2002 challenge.

Iowa has won its last two challenge games, outlasting Notre Dane at home in 2013, before upsetting North Carolina on the road last year. The Hawkeyes own a 4-10 challenge record.

The Hawkeyes were 22-12 overall and 12-6 in Big Ten action last year. Florida State was 17-16 last year and 8-10 in ACC play. The Seminoles did not compete in the postseason.
