Iowa Barnstormers sign new lease through 2014

The Arena Football League's Iowa Barnstormers have signed a new five-year lease that keeps the team in Des Moines through at least 2014.
The Barnstormers announced the new lease agreement with the Iowa Events Center on Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But team co-owner Jeff Lamberti says it ensures that the Barnstormers won't be at a competitive disadvantage with teams in larger markets.
Lamberti also says the deal send a strong signal that the team will be in Des Moines for the foreseeable future.
The Barnstormers, who play in Wells Fargo Arena, joined the reconfigured Arena Football League before this season.
