May. 15, 2017 3:10 pm
The Indianapolis Colts waived offensive lineman Austin Blythe of Iowa Monday.
Blythe played in eight games and started one for the Colts as a rookie last year. He was a Colts seventh-round draft pick in 2016.
The Williamsburg native started in 51 games for Iowa. As a senior for Iowa's Big Ten West champions, he was one of three finalists for the Rimington Award, given annually to the nation's top center.
He was a consensus second-team All-Big Ten player in 2015, and was a third-team Associated Press All-America.
