During the 2009-10 wrestling season, the Independence wrestling team had its season chronicled by a videographer and the footage that included Independence winning it's home tournament for the first time under head coachMichael Doyle and Ryan Fank's state championship."Independence: Wrestling With A Community" will make its debut Saturday, Aug. 14 at 9 p.m. at Starlight Cinema in Independence. Independence: Wrestling With A Community produced by Infinity Films, of Chicago, Illinois, focuses on the trials and tribulations of a season in Independence's storied high school wrestling program. Directed by veteran documentary filmmaker J.D. Oliva and compiled from hours of footage, "Independence", chronicles the dedication of a team of young men and their head coach, Michael Doyle, as they embark on a season in pursuit of an Iowa State Wrestling Championship.
