Indee hosting Deery Brothers Shootout

In one of its biggest events of the summer, Independence Motor Speedway is hosting the The Deery Brothers Late Models & American Stock Car Series Shoot Out Wednesday night, beginning at 7 p.m.
The Deery Brothers Summer Series, featuring IMCA late models is making its 23rd appearance at the Independence dirt track. Terry Neal, of Ely, came out on top of a 40-car field last year, claiming his second series win at the track.
The winner of the late model race will win $2,000, according to the speedway's website with the stock car winner taking home $1,000.
Hot laps begin at 6:45 with grandstands opening at 5. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students (12-17). Children 11 and younger are free.
