I.C. West's McLeran commits to play football at UNI

Iowa City West offensive lineman Sam McLeran announced Friday he has verbally committed to play college football at Northern Iowa.A 6-foot-3, 275-pound senior, McLeran helped West to an unbeaten regular season and Class 4A playoff berth. He was an all-state pick by the Des Moines Register.McLeran chose UNI over a scholarship offer from South Dakoa. Iowa and Iowa State wanted him to walk on.
