Highlights: Iowa wins its ninth straight road game, 49-35 at Purdue

Iowa set a school record with its ninth straight road win, improving to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Big Ten. Purdue fell to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten.

A deflected pass somehow made its way to Brycen Hopkins, who walked into the end zone.

Reigning Jim Thorpe Award winner Desmond King has his first interception of the season, and takes it back for a touchdown for good measure.

It's his 12th pick of his career.

David Blough is punishing a Hawkeye defense of mostly second-teamers. 

His 54-yard TD pass to DeAngelo Yancey cut the lead to 14 with still 5 1/2 minutes to play.

The ensuing onside kick went out of bounds and the first-team offense has returned for Iowa.

Purdue converted a fourth down deep in Iowa territory, then David Blough delivered a 7-yard TD pass to Bilal Marshall against the Hawkeyes' second-team defense.

Just like the first Purdue touchdown, Iowa responded to the second with a big play on the ground.

LeShun Daniels took off for a 67-yard run to the 24, then freshman tight end Noah Fant hauled in a pass in the corner of the end zone on third down for the score.

Fant was originally ruled to be out of bounds, but the play was overturned after review for Fant's first career touchdown.

Another tight end finds the end zone for Purdue. 

David Blough dropped back and hit Cole Herdman behind the Iowa defense for a 53-yard TD.

1:18 2nd: Iowa 35, Purdue 7

After giving up its first points of the game, Iowa responded quickly.

For the second straight week, Akrum Wadley burst through the line and showed off his speed for a long touchdown run.

This time it's even further, a 75-yard run that is Iowa's longest play from scrimmage of the season.

Purdue is on the board just before the end of the half.

David Blough scrambled, stayed alive and hit backup tight end Byrcen Hopkins for a 25-yard score.

It's really the only drive of the first half in which the Boilers showed life.

LeShun Daniels' second rushing TD of the game is from 4 yards out to put the Hawkeyes up 28.

C.J. Beathard missed a wide-open Jerminic Smith striding toward the end zone on Iowa's third drive.

But he didn't miss Riley McCarron three plays later.

The 43-yard pitch-and-catch put Iowa up 21-0 after one quarter.

2:20 1st: Iowa 14, Purdue 0

C.J. Beathard had no one open on third and goal from the 15, but he did have plenty of open field. The Iowa QB's TD run put the Hawkeyes up two scores.

Iowa scored despite being pushed back due to a penalty.

LeShun Daniels appeared to have his second touchdown of the game, but his 2-yard was called back for a chop block.

8:57 1st: Iowa 7, Purdue 0

Iowa's first drive resulted in six as LeShun Daniels punched it in from a yard out.

The TD was set up by George Kittle's catch, run and stretch to the goal line.

The play was reviewed and it was ruled the Iowa tight end was out at the 1.
