Highland relay team “haunted” no more

This time, Highland was not going to be denied.
Edged by an arm's length at the finish line a year ago by North Iowa in the 800-meter relay, the Huskies ran away with the title Friday. There were smiles and tears all around as the group huddled on the Drake Stadium infield after posting a time of 1 minute, 44.80 seconds, one-tenth of a second from equaling the state meet record.
