WINTHROP - Waking up before the sun rises to get a lift in, running sprint after sprint, taking shot after shot and skipping meals.
Wrestling season is right around the corner and that means the mats are getting rolled out and the wrestlers are getting warmed up.
Wrestlers are some of the most dedicated athletes in the world and they will do anything to get an edge on the competition. They push their bodies as far as they can possibly go to get ready for the upcoming wrestling season.
An average day in the life of a wrestler may consist of waking up at 4:30 to go lift weights, run sprints and drill. Then it's off to school for a full day. After school, it's more wrestling and more running. Their bodies are only running off of the few small meals from the day because they needs to get down to the weight they will wrestle.
Some people may ask why anybody in their right mind would want to do this. Wrestlers do it for the sport they love because they will do anything to get their hand raised at the end of the match - even if it means putting their bodies through hell.
