Hawkeyes will play at Virginia

IOWA CITY - The University of Iowa women's basketball team will face Virginia in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Dec. 2 in Charlottesville, Va.

The game will mark the third meeting between the teams. The first two were won by Iowa, including a first-round NCAA Tournament game in 2002.

Iowa is coming off a 26-8, Sweet 16 season. Virginia was 17-14 last year.

The Hawkeyes are 2-6 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. They fell at Louisville, 86-52, last year.
