Hawkeyes-Nebraska will be a 3 p.m. game this Black Friday

A new twist will come to the Iowa-Nebraska football series on Nov. 24.
The kickoff will be at 3 p.m. instead of the usual late-morning start the series has had. The game will be televised by FS1.
Some other starting times and television information were announced Wednesday. The Sept. 9 Iowa-Iowa State game will begin at 11 a.m., and will be telecast by ESPN or ESPN2.
The Hawkeyes' Sept. 16 home game against North Texas will be a 2:30 p.m. start on ESPN2. Iowa's Oct. 7 home game against Illinois is an 11 a.m. kickoff, with the television network to be determined.
Iowa's nine other games, including its season-opener at home against Wyoming, do not have scheduled starting times.
The Sept. 2 Northern Iowa-Iowa State game in Ames will be a 7 p.m. game on Cyclones.tv
The Cyclones are at Akron on Sept. 16, and that will be televised by CBS Sports Network at 11 a.m., Central time.
The Texas-Iowa State Thursday game in Ames on Sept. 28 will begin at either 6:30 or 7 p.m., and will be aired on ESPN.
ESPN will help usher in the 2017 college football season on Thursday, Aug. 31 with a 7 p.m. telecast of Ohio State at Indiana.
