Hawkeye Dirt Tour rolls on to Knoxville Raceway
Jul. 20, 2017 1:29 pm
KNOXVILLE — Back-to-back nights of IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour Modified racing rarely disappoints.
That the second of those two nights comes at the most widely-recognized dirt track in the state makes it almost a certainty.
Knoxville Raceway follows up Wednesday night's action at Southern Iowa Speedway for the two-night southern Iowa swing for some of the most successful Modified racers in the country. Wednesday night's winner Cayden Carter will be there to try to make it two wins in two days after running down Hunter Marriott and closing the deal, while Kelly Shryock and Joel Rust make the trip in a dead heat for the points title with four races left on the schedule.
The Gazette will be in Knoxville to cover all the action, so check back later tonight for a live look-in from the Knoxville pit area at The Inside Track by Jeremiah Davis on Facebook and full coverage from the races here at thegazette.com/the-inside-track.
