RAGBRAI's 40th anniversary celebration in Cedar Rapids was eventful only in the way organizers anticipated.
As thousands of cyclists and their support crews rode out of Cedar Rapids Friday morning, public safety organizers reported few problems.
Cedar Rapids fire department spokesperson Greg Buelow said 102 patients were treated at first aid tents in the RAGBRAI area. Only three of those patients needed to be taken to a hospital, two for dehydration and one concert staff worker with a hand injury.
St. Luke's Hospital reported treating about 15 people associated with RAGBRAI, most of them for dehydration or injuries from falls.
Cedar Rapids police reported no major incidents involving RAGBRAI.
