Hallice Cook putting up-and-down week in the past
Jan. 22, 2016 4:27 pm
AMES — Hallice Cooke considered the past week a valuable learning opportunity.
The sophomore guard served a one-game suspension in last week's road win at Kansas State — he was late to practice — and did not see action in the win against No. 1 Oklahoma.
'I've just been sticking to the process and keep working hard,' Cooke said. 'Just do what I've known since I've been young and keep working hard. I'll get the opportunity when it comes.'
Former walk-on Jordan Ashton filled Cooke's roll as the seventh man the past two games and Prohm said he will likely stick with a seven-man rotation for now. Cooke put rumors of him transferring to rest this week on Twitter, but he knows the expectation to play will rest on what he shows the staff in practice.
Just to clear the air, I was late to practice, & I'm not going anywhere I genuinely love my teammates & I love the fan support. Take careJanuary 19, 2016

Prohm said as much.
'You've got to do the right thing and then when your opportunity comes, you've got to make the most of it,' Prohm said. '(Ashton) had an opportunity and made the most of it. Everybody has the same amount of opportunities, but we've just got to get it done in practice.'
