Gibbs gets release from Gonzaga

According to KCRG's Scott Saville, former Linn-Mar All-State point guard Grant Gibbs has been granted his release from his basketball scholarship at Gonzaga. Gibbs red shirted his first year at Gonzaga and only played 9.3 minutes a game last year. Grant averaged 2.2 points and 1 assist a game last year for the Zags. There are reports he may be transferring to the University of Northern Iowa.
