WELLMAN -- Marc Pennington will be the new middle-school principal at Mid-Prairie, and will vacate his post as varsity girls' basketball coach.Pennington coached eight years at Mid-Prairie, posting a 96-93 record. The Golden Hawks were Cedar Valley Conference co-champions in 2012, and advanced to the Class 3A state tournament in 2013.Mid-Prairie was 18-7 this past season, and loses its entire starting lineup to graduation.
