Gatorade honors Evans, Jenks

Linn-Mar distance aces Josh Evans and Stephanie Jenks have been named Gatorade track athletes of the year for Iowa.Evans, a junior, was a state champion Class 4A in the 3,200-meter run anchored the winning 1,600-meter medley relay. He was second in the 1,600, third in the 800. He also was the Drake Relays Most Outstanding Performer for high school boys.Jenks, a freshman, won the 1,500 and 3,000 and was the 800 runner-up.
