7:47 2nd - Iowa 71, Northwestern 47
Iowa has kept up its defensive relentlessness and is well on its way to matching Indiana's 8-1 record on top of the Big Ten.
Peter Jok scored 22 points in 9 1/2 second-half minutes and exited to a large ovation with 26 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He also made 10 of 12 free throws.
Northwestern is shooting 46.7 percent in the second half but the Hawkeyes have forced eight turnovers, leading to some easy buckets on the other end.
"They've done some positive things, but Iowa is just a juggernaut, especially here at home," BTN analyst Stephen Bardo said.
11:56 2nd - Iowa 61, Northwestern 40
Peter Jok has livened the Carver-Hawkeye Arena crowd, and suddenly this is a rout again.
Jok hit three 3s during this stretch, including two on back-to-back possessions, to get a lulled crowd cheering again.
Jok now has 20 points and is 4-for-7 from 3-point range for the game.
This run started for Iowa with a Jarrod Uthoff (21 points) drive and off-balance make. Then the Hawkeyes transitioned into a 1-2-2 defense to momentarily throw off the Wildcats.
Making things worse for Northwestern, Scottie Lindsey picked up a technical foul and Jok made both free throws to extend the lead to 20.
Iowa has made 16 of 19 free throws today.
15:58 2nd - Iowa 44, Northwestern 35
Northwestern is showing some fight to open the second half, cutting the lead to nine on a Tre Demps 3.
Demps is up to 17 points, though he's just 3-for-10 from outside the arc.
The Wildcats have scored the last seven points in 1:15. Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes are 0 for their last 6.
Half - Iowa 42, Northwestern 26
The Hawkeyes struggled out of the gates but soon removed concerns that their offensive woes from Thursday had carried over.
A 14-0 run midway through the half put Iowa up 28-18 and the Hawkeyes stretched that to 23-3 at one point, eventually leading by 16 at the break.
Jarrod Uthoff was the key cog early and late, scoring 12 points in just over 10 minutes. He finished the half with 19.

A handful of other Hawkeyes then got involved in the offense. Nicholas Baer has five points and four others have four.
It wasn't all great for Iowa, as it shot 4-for-12 from 3-point range. But the Hawkeyes scored 16 second chance points on seven offensive rebounds and were 43.8 percent from the field overall.
Tre Demps leads the Wildcats with 10 points.
Northwestern shot just 27.6 percent and turned it over seven times.

There's the Jarrod Uthoff Hawkeye fans know and love. Two straight 3s put Iowa up three, but Northwestern responded with an 11-4 run.

Tre Demps is up to 10 points for Northwestern.
15:54 1st - Northwestern 7, Iowa 4
Not exactly a blazing start to this one.
Iowa missed four of its first five shots and each team has two fouls.
Tre Demps, who came into this game really struggling offensively, has five points to stake the Wildcats to an early lead.
Peter Jok was inadvertently elbowed in the eye on a rebound and had to head to the bench to be looked at by a trainer.
