‘Excellent’ game for Wildcats

DELHI - Maquoketa Valley played an excellent game last Friday against the Ed-Co Vikings, winning the battle 49-12.
A Jeremy Fischer touchdown pass to Steve Huber within the first three minutes of the game got things rolling for the Wildcats. Huber added the extra point to make it 7-0.
In the last couple minutes of the first quarter, Ryan Parmely rushed for a touchdown and Zach Salow followed with a two-point conversion. In the second quarter, Fischer connected on a 45-yard TD reception to Zach Salow. Huber added another extra point, but the Wildcats didn't stop there.
Parmely and Fischer scored rushing touchdowns and Huber was successful for the extra points both times.
Zak Harbach made the big play of the third quarter, getting a 46-yard touchdown on a punt return. Huber followed with his final PAT of the night and brought the Wildcats to 43 points at the end of the third quarter.
Trevor Koopmann scored the final touchdown of the night for the Wildcats.
