Five players reached double-figure scoring for Cornell Wednesday night in an 80-72 Midwest Conference victory at Grinnell, and two of them recorded double-doubles.
Taylor Dicus had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Rams (3-3, 1-2), and Maggie Hogen posted 12 points and 12 rebounds. Rikki Mulloy scored 12 points, Tana Kemmer 12 and Sarah Hansen 11.
Alex Neckopulos set a school record for Grinnell (2-5, 2-2) with 23 rebounds.
COE 78, MOUNT MERCY 58
- Coe shot nearly 60 percent in the second half as it easily won a non-conference game at Hennessy Rec Center in Cedar Rapids.
Mickey Hansche scored 19 points for the Kohawks (3-2), including five 3-point baskets. Aleena Hobbs added 17 points, Courtney McCrary 12 and Jordan Holmes 10.
Coe made a school-record 15 3-pointers.
Abby Herb topped Mount Mercy scorers with 17 points, and Christa Oldham added 12.
KIRKWOOD 83, WILLIAM PENN JV 31
- Seventh-ranked Kirkwood (6-4) rolled with three double-digit scores in the non-conference game at Johnson Hall in Cedar Rapids.
Ariel Sneed scored 12 points, Aliyah Isaac 11 and Peyton Bockholt 10.
