Donovan, Wideman make 1st USA camp cut

Former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defensemen Matt Donovan and Chris Wideman are two of 29 players remaining at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation camp in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The list has been trimmed from 42. Players are vying for a spot on the USA National Junior Team that will compete this winter in the World Championships.
Donovan will be a freshman at Denver this year, Wideman a junior at Miami of Ohio. One of the camp evalators/coaches is RoughRiders head coach/general manager Mark Carlson.
