IOWA CITY -- Ally Disterhoft, the state's leading scorer and Miss Iowa Basketball 2013, was named to the 40-player
Parade Magazine girls basketball all-America team.Disterhoft averaged 26.3 points per game, shooting 63.5 percent from the field (including 47.0 percent from 3-point range) and 80.7 percent from the field. She grabbed 7.7 rebounds per game.She finished her career with 1,590 points and led the Women of Troy to state on three occasions. They were state runners-up in 2011, champions last year.This year, a young West team upset No. 1 Iowa City High in the regional finals, then concluded an 18-6 season with a loss to Mason City in the state quarterfinals.The 6-foot guard, signed with the University of Iowa, also was the Gatorade player of the year.
