Depth Chart Monday

There is no depth chart today. For as much as we doubt and poke fun of the Depth Chart Monday (I interviewed it last week and it said it was taken out of context, to which I laughed and said no one has ever accused me of that, who do you think you are, Depth Chart Monday), it's a topical device for me to open discussion with you.
For that, Depth Chart Monday, I thank you.
So, we'll kind of wing it today.
Iowa's next game . . . It's 11 a.m. at Kinnick against Indiana. I voted Indiana the national team of the week for its victory at Missouri two weeks ago. Then last week, it lost at home to Maryland, the other team Iowa plays in October (Iowa has just two games in October, so that double-bye week isn't as fortuitious as it was last year).
The game is on ESPNU. The Hoosiers are 2-2 and play host to Dan McCarney's North Texas this week. I really like UI QB Nate Sudfeld. He's a gunner. Shane Wynn (21 catches) is his most productive wideout. RB Tevin Coleman has been IU's best offensive weapon. He leads the Big Ten with 172.75 rushing yards a game. He has seven TDs and averages 7.85 yards a carry. Those numbers are comical.
I really try to avoid absolutes, so I won't write that Indiana has the worst defense in the conference. It's close, at least in scoring defense which is really what it's all about now, isn't it, allowing 29.8 points a game.
Indiana is allowing 432.0 yards a game. There's work to do on defense.
Hey, we do have a depth chart!!! . . . I thought we got one, but gave up hope at 3 p.m.
No, wait, there's no depth chart, just notes. Oh well, I don't have to rewrite the intro here. I'll attach what I think the depth chart will be at the end of this post.
Be still your beating hearts.
Points of interest . . . A few of these are noteworthy from Iowa sports info.
' After one week of the conference season, the Hawkeyes lead the Big Ten in total defense (156.0), pass defense (72.0), and pass defense efficiency (47.0).
' Iowa has won four straight and six of its last seven on the road. The Hawkeyes have won four consecutive road games, dating back to last season, for the first time since 2009, when they won their first four road games of the season.
' Iowa is 2-0 when trailing at halftime this year (trailed Ball State 7-3, trailed Pitt 17-7).
' Iowa trailed in each of its four wins, and erased 10-point deficits in three wins (Ball State, Pitt, Purdue).
' Iowa has 101 wins since 2002. Only 21 programs across the country have 100 or more wins since the start of the 2002 season.
' Iowa has two fourth-quarter comebacks this season (Ball State and Pitt). Iowa erased a 10-point deficit to defeat Ball State, 17-13, at home, and rallied from down 17-7 to win at Pitt, 24-20.
' Iowa's win at Pitt was its first road win after trailing by 10 or more points in the second half during the Ferentz era.
' Iowa has forced a three-and-out on 18 of its opponents 55 drives (32.7 percent)
More football nerdiness
. . . Iowa's personnel groups last week against Purdue (and the 11 personnel is back with a vengeance):
11 (one RB, one TE)
- 31 (35.2 percent -- one week after 11 not being Iowa's dominant personnel group, it's back as Iowa's dominant personnel group, need to run better out of it, but took some strides there, too, with a Daniels' 7-yard gain on a 3rd-and-5)
21 (RB, FB and one TE)
- 25 (28.4 percent -- Iowa ran this five times against Pitt; they like the fullback)
13 (RB, three TEs)
- 12 (13.6 percent - this formation debuted last week and showed up with a decent percentage this week; I think they're intrigued but not totally sold; we did see more of George Kittle for the first time this year)
22 (RB, FB, two TEs)
- 11 (12.5 percent - Last week it was 40 percent, this week 11; I think they want this to be more, but it didn't do much against the Boilers) 12 (one RB, two TE) - 6 (6.8 percent -- this was 31 percent of the offense against ISU, and I think it could be more with better push in the middle)
23 (RB, FB, three TEs)
- 1 (1.1 percent -- Goal line or short yardage)
