Believe it or not.
The Midwest League's Dayton Dragons have not won at Fifth Third Field since beating Fort Wayne, 15-10, on June 28. That's right, JUNE!
"It's in their heads,” Manager Todd Benzinger told the Dayton Daily News, referring to his players. “This is not a team that's so bad they're going to lose this many in a row unless there's something in their heads about it.”
Dayton lost No. 23 on Thursday night, 10-3, to Lansing. The Daily News is reporting this is the longest home losing streak since at least 2005.
The Dragons, who have sold out every home game since their inception into the Midwest League in 2000 are 10-35 in the second half and 40-74 overall.
