Cougars sweep top 4 spots

DUBUQUE -- Allison Culver paced a 1-2-3-4 attack, and the Cedar Rapids Kennedy girls' cross country team won its fifth invitational of the season Thursday, capturing the Eastern Iowa Classic at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.Kennedy scored 22 points, 30 fewer than runner-up Iowa City High.Culver won in 14:28, followed by teammates Katie Wampole (14:33), Lauren Meyer (14:37) and Alyssa Averhoff (14:40).City High was the boys' champion, outscoring Cedar Rapids Washington, 42-51. Brook Price took individual honors in 15:42.Linn-Mar's highly ranked teams rested their top runners.
