Steppe — I have a sneaking suspicion people in central Iowa will be pulling for Utah in this one. BYU 24, Utah 17

Johnson — Nothing like November. Hockey and basketball are getting into full gear. The prep football playoffs are in the quarterfinal round. A Pick ’Ems game between two Big 12 Conference foes from the state of Utah. BYU 28, Utah 27

Gray — It’s called “the holy war,” but Salt Lake City is only slightly more secular than Provo. Like the Cy-Hawk game, you throw out the records for this one. The Utes’ defense is good enough to slow down the Cougars just enough to keep this a spine-tingler well into the fourth quarter. Give me the home team as the Big 12’s last unbeaten team falls. Utah 17, BYU 14

Malicki — Big rivalry with this matchup. I actually did some research on this game and feel everyone is going to pick the top team in the Big 12 ... Meaning I’m missing an opportunity to improve my standings in these Pick ’Ems. BYU 24, Utah 13
