Coe coach talks about Ed Thomas (video)

Coe College football coach Steve Staker was a friend of Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach/athletics director Ed Thomas. Staker said everyone was a friend of Thomas, the legendary coach gunned down over the summer by a former player.
Here is video of Staker talking about Thomas and their relationship. The coach said he was driving and had to pull over his car when a former player of his at nearby Fredericksburg High School phoned him and told him that Thomas had been gunned down.
The former player was working on constructing Thomas' new home in Parkersburg. His old one had been destroyed by a devastating 2008 tornado.
