PELLA - Fifth-ranked Coe opened its dual schedule with a win.
Heavyweight Kirk Owens recorded a fall in the final match to secure a 23-16 victory over Central on Thursday night at Kuyper Gym.
Former Cedar Rapids Kennedy prep Luke Kremer began a four-match winning stretch for Coe, posting a 7-5 decision over Jordan Richardson at 141. Josh Donkle (249) added a decision, Brody Beck followed with a second-period fall and Farai Sewera earned a technical fall.
Coe is 1-0 overall and in the Iowa Conference. Central is 0-1 overall and in conference.
