Class 1A and 2A State Duals pairings

The field for the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 1A and 2A State Duals tournament was set with regional dual competition Tuesday night. All three classes of the State  Duals tournament will be held Saturday, Feb. 26 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. The Class 3A field will be set Tuesday, Feb. 22 with regional dual meets.In Class 2A, Forest City and Williamsburg each reached the State Duals for the first time in school history. In 1A, Alburnett joined the elite field for the first time as well.No. 14 Forest City beat No. 11 Clear Lake in a regional final to reach the State Duals. Williamsburg rolled Fairfield and Davis County to earn its way. Fourth-ranked Alburnett beat No. 13 East Buchanan in a regional final to qualify.In the biggest regional dual upset, unranked Wilton, which is seeded lowest at No. 8, beat No. 5 West Branch, 30-29, to reach the 1A field.Webster City returns to the state duals, making its first appearance since a runner-up finish in 1991.
