Christensen, Utley MVC baseball MVPs

As picked by the coaches in the league. Coaches of the Year in their respective divisions are state tournament qualifiers Bret Hoyer of Cedar Rapids Kennedy (Mississippi Division) and Charlie Stumpff of Iowa City West (Valley Division).

Players of the Year are Kennedy's Austin Christensen (Mississippi) and Cedar Rapids Prairie's D.J. Utley (Valley).

Brothers Brayton and Dustin Carlson of Prairie were both first-teamers in the Valley Division - Brayton an infielder and Dustin a catcher. Unanimous selections included the Carlsons, Utley, Christensen, Kennedy's Terrell Sykes and Devon Jacobus, Cedar Rapids Xavier's Ean McNeal, West's Ryan Rumpf, Aaron Heller and Jeremy Cronk and Cedar Rapids Jefferson's Michael Rooney.
